NetZERO means no monthly utility bill. It’s a building that generates enough energy to cancel out its overall utilities-consuming footprint.

NetPLUS means no monthly utility bill, PLUS money back from the electric utility company at the end of the billing period.

The total cost to build a NetZERO or NetPLUS building is more than for a NetLESS building, but the energy efficiency of the envelope may be exactly the same

So, while the cost for a “NetZERO” building may be slightly out of range for the average building owner or property developer, an Abide Systems NetLESS high efficiency building envelope is about the same as conventional construction, yet it can save as much as 85% (and possibly more) of utilities and building operating costs!

It’s still an incredible concept for building owners and facilities managers alike. NetLESS high performance building envelopes exceed all ICBO building and IECC energy codes, delivering superior efficiency for about the same or even less than conventional construction methods.

If going the extra distance required for a NetZERO building envelope is too far beyond the budget, then you’ll positively want our NetLESS envelope. Later you can add peripheral systems, solar PVC panels, wind turbines and advanced “passive electricity generating” technology to eliminate all costs of operating your building altogether.

A NetZERO office, apartment building or home is not so far-fetched. Not such a lofty goal as a NetPLUS building, but the way energy costs are rising and mortgages are being approved these days, it’s probably going to be a necessity in the not too distant future.
